At the heart of the MF10 are three 1920 x 1080 pixel D-ILA devices for red, green and blue. The zoom capability permits a large, bright image even in smaller environments that do not offer normal projector-to-screen distances. Using Meridian’s unique calibration process, specially developed by William Phelps, individual colour lookup tables are deployed to give precise calibration that dramatically enhances imaging. This optimises not only gamma but also colour and grey scale, ensuring more natural colour and minimum artefacts.Each Meridian MF10 projector is hand-tuned at their headquarters and manufacturing facility near Cambridge, England. Using specially-developed test and calibration routines, they precisely set gamma, colour temperature and other parameters, allowing the MF10 to dramatically exceed the performance of off-the-shelf projectors.
