Hooked up to your hi-fi, the digital transport will dock and charge your iPod while extracting its music files and playing them back via your stereo amp. Instead of being dictated to by the quality of the iPod’s built-in DAC, the audio quality will be dependant solely upon that of the digital files themselves.With both coaxial and optical outputs plus coaxial video out and a USB port, the ND-S1 is more than just a digital transport. Hooked up to a PC, the Onkyo will allow you to sync your docked iPod with iTunes at the touch of a button. Accurate, high-definition digital sound is ensured thanks to a high-precision circuit clock.
